I have been "and still" wondering what we can do on eportfolio. There does not seem to a product that provides the exact direction and that always makes things hard :-( . So, it started to trigger me (influenced by Web2.0) to start to look from "information management" point of view and focus on the data! It seems we would have better success taking a constructive approach. So, I started proposing some 'interesting' projects, i.e. LCMS, Social Network, and so on.
To accommedate the ePortfolio guidelines at CSU:
"An e-Portfolio is a digitized collection of artifacts including demonstrations,- LCMS - SoCS (Service Oriented Content System)
resources, and accomplishments that represent an individual, group, or
institution. This collection can be comprised of text based, graphic, multimedia
elements archived on a Web site or on electronic media such as CD-ROM or DVD. It
can also serve as an administrative tool to manage and organize work created
with different applications and tools."
"A key component of the e-Portfolio systems is to encourage personal reflection- Social Network (ELGG)
and often to involve the exchange of ideas and feedback."
and, in addition, iPeer for Peer Review/Assessment and DSpace for Institution Repository.
