Not like the old times (actually, it was not that long, i.e. earlier 90's), the 'BIG' universities attracted people by providing access to the LARGER collection of 'knowledge' through the 'BIG' libraries; but, with the Internet, that was changed since Internet allows people to 'Search for' and 'pull' information when a computer and network is available (at home or computer labs). Libraries are still attracting people, but more to use the computers and network access. Again, Wireless (WLAN) and laptops/Handhelds came in the picture and pushed that even further by offering 'wider-range' of flexibility - campus- or metro- wide access with the Hot Spots. So now what? Here comes the Mobile devices (phones in paticular) and 3G/WiMax/LTE wireless network, people moved much beyond 'Search' and, instead, they 'Ask' and 'Share' -- like Twitter, of course! Anytime and anywhere changes the whole dynamic of information Superhighway .. -:)
Finally thought this through when I reading tweets on my iPhone in the restroom -:).
